Over lunch with a colleague this week, HubSpot came up in conversation as the be- all, end-all solution for small business online marketing needs. I am sure this is true for some companies but the catch is the same as with all Saas solutions-you need to have someone in house with HTML, and online marketing skills to execute it. Specifically, you need an employee who has experience with SEO, Blogging and Social Media. The alternative is to hire an online marketing consultant or firm that will execute the software flawlessly and there are several that can do so-it does however add to your cost. Either way-be cautious about software solutions that promise to do it all better and cheaper. Software can make your job easier, but I have not seen a business solution yet that replaces talented and skilled human resources. 2 Comments |
